Frequently Asked Questions

 

Located below are some frequently asked questions to help further our customers’ understanding of renting a waste container. If there is a question that is not answered in this section, please feel free to contact our office and we will be happy to assist you.

 

What size bins do you carry?

We carry 6, 10, 14, 20, 30, and 40 cubic yard bins. For the dimensions of each bin size, please refer to our Bin Sizes page

 

What size bin do I need?

Please refer to our Bin Sizes. If you are still unsure of what size bin you may require, please contact our office.

 

What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 5:00 pm (Spring/Summer/Fall season), 8:00am to 4:00pm (Winter season). We are closed Saturday for the Winter Season.

 

When will my bin be delivered?

Our deliveries are made between 7am and 5pm; we are unable to give specific times. We will try to accommodate delivery requests, as best we can, at the time of booking.

 

Will my driveway be protected?

We recommend to all our customers to have sheets of plywood to ensure their driveway is protected. We do place wood planks at the front and rear of the dumpster, however, we are not responsible for any damages, should they arise.

 

What is Clean fill?

Consists ONLY of:

  • Dirt/Sod
  • Concrete
  • Asphalt
  • Brick 

Please do not mix anything else in a clean fill bin. All contents must be kept separate from each other. Failure to keep contents separate will result in a per tonne billing charge.

 

What is considered acceptable Solid Waste?

Non-hazardous solid waste includes unwanted furniture, appliances, household goods, renovation waste, demolition waste, drywall, wood, plaster, roofing, shingles and scrap metal.  DO NOT INCLUDE hazardous waste such as used oil, liquid paints, cleaning chemicals and propane tanks.

 

Where does the waste go?

Whenever possible, waste is delivered to Ministry-approved resource recovery facilities. Recyclable or reusable items are separated to minimize the volume of waste that reaches a landfill.

 

How much does it cost to rent a bin?

This depends on the size and type of bin depending on your needs. Please contact our office, and a member of our expert staff will assist you.

 

How long can I keep the bin?

Your bin is scheduled for pick-up 7 days after delivery (Residential Only). After 7 days there is a charge of $10.00 per day. If you need the bin longer, please contact our office or e-mail us at [email protected]. If you’re done with the bin sooner, you can contact our office or email [email protected] to schedule pick-up.

 

Do I need a permit for the bin?

If the bin is positioned on private property belonging to the customer, there is no permit required. If the bin needs to be placed on the road, or blocking a sidewalk, or driveway any where in the surrounding GTA area it is the responsibility of the customer to acquire a permit from that municipality. If you are unsure of how to acquire a permit, feel free to contact us, and we will be happy to provide you with the necessary information.

 

How high can I fill the bin?

All of our bins come with “maximum load height” markings. The contents of the bin must be kept level with the sides of the container. We must be able to tarp the bin when we pick it up. We are not responsible for any contents that fall our of your bin when it is lifted. Failure to keep the contents level with the sides may result in the load being refused.

 

How much notice do you need if I want to rent a bin?

If a bin is ordered before 12:00pm we can usually deliver it the same day (subject to availability). Service should be done within 24 hours unless otherwise told.

Are bins available for disposal of clean fill?

Yes. Clean fill bins are available and are charged on a flat rate basis, the cost depends on the size of the bin. Sizes available for Clean Fill are 6, 10 and 14 cubic yard.

 

How do I cancel my order?

You can call our office, or email us at [email protected] to have your order cancelled. Orders cancelled without 24 hours notice will be subject to cancellation fees.

 

How can I pay for the bin?

We accept cash, debit, and credit. Cash payment requires deposit upon delivery.  We accept Visa or MasterCard.
